Workshop Description

How to shift your perspective, master engagement, nail your presence, handle any drama and leave a real impression. (And also have SUCH A GOOD TIME doing it!). This workshop is designed for Burlesque artists and any other "no fourth wall" variety entertainer & will include self directed movement, theatre exercises, non-touch interactive exercises and discussion. We will play! You will leave with skills you can apply directly and immediately to your solo performances and a full heart! Low to medium (adaptive) physical intensity. What to bring: Notepad and pen or a device to take notes (No AI recording programs permitted), water, comfortable clothes. If you wish to apply your learning to a specific act (not required), you are welcome to bring an item that connects you to a character or act such as your show shoes or key costume piece. Access: All movement can be adapted to student needs. Let us know if you have specific access requirements. Keeping your peers safe is the hottest, sexiest thing any Burlesque performer can do - Masks are welcome, but combined RAT testing prior to attending is appreciated as it will be hard to wear a mask for the entirety of this workshop. Please don't attend if you are unwell (not even "just a cold" honeys!). We're also going to care for each others emotional wellbeing, seek enthusiastic consent before touch and read the vibe when discussing sensitive subjects.
